Today the temperature reached a whopping 85 degrees, which is the warmest it has been since we moved here! With John's help, Parker and I pulled out the hose and the "worm" sprinkler and had some redneck fun in the yard. I'm not sure why, but the water that comes out of the hose here is ICE cold, I don't just mean cool, but COLD. So Parker would run around dodging the spray, then run through it and say "Oooooooooooooo", it was truly hilarious! This went on for at least an hour. Two popsicles, 1 tick, and 2 meltdowns later we were completely exhausted! Rain is supposed to return tomorrow, so it may be a while before we get/want to use the worm again....

YAY for Sunshine!!
After weeks days of rain and cold weather, we finally got some sunshine this afternoon. Notice that I did NOT say "warm" sunshine. The temperature finally reached 65 degrees this afternoon, not warm in my book! However, that didn't keep us from playing outside and running lots of errands. John returned today from his latest rotation to shower and promptly go to bed, so Parker and I were left to entertain ourselves. And that we did....

Story Time
Every Tuesday we go to story time at the library on base. Some weeks we behave better than others, but we can ALMOST sit through an entire book now :)! This morning we did especially well and even talked to some of the other kids, as opposed to whining at them....
On our way out the door to go to story time we found this HUGE snail in the driveway!

More Warm Weather :)
I hate to say it out loud because I feel like I will jinx myself....but, we have had 4 days in a ROW of warm weather! Parker and I have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! This morning we went to story time at the library, where Parker did pretty well....at least as well as the other kids! After nap, we went to the pool in our town. So far, both the pools that we have been to here have had these great kiddie pools! We will definitely be going back :).
And we stopped in a field of Poppys :)

Sunny Days!
After last weeks cold, wet weather we were SO glad to see the sun this weekend! John is still on rotation, so it was just the girls, and we made the most of it! We played outside most of the days and even made it to the pool. This weeks supposed to bring more cold and rain, but if next weekend will be like this one....we will take the trade!

Disaster AKA Tiny Tumblers
Well...this morning Parker and I both woke up excited about our first class with the "Tiny Tumblers". Let me clarify, I woke up excited, Parker woke up ill and tired. She has been cutting all four of her canine teeth for the last week or so. All have popped through, but are no means "up". She has been waking up int he middle of the night screaming, so needless to say, she hasn't been getting good sleep.
That being said, we somehow manage to pile into the car and make it to the specified location by 10:15 for the start of the class. In Parker's defense she was the youngest child there and technically 4 months to young to be in the class. We were given and "exception" and allowed to join the class, I'm sure that they are seriously rethinking "exceptions"!!
The beginning of the class went OK, however, about 20 minutes in we completely melted. Parker wanted nothing to do with the teacher or the other kids. All she wanted to do was run around screaming and smearing snot on all the mats. It was classic. So...enjoy these pictures, there won't be anymore........... at least until the fall!!!
