Augusta and Isle of Palms

After leaving Athens our adventures took us to Augusta to see Aunt Juju, Uncle Larry and Neal.  Parker loved (and loved and loved and loved) their dog, Molly.  Molly played with Parker constantly....

Parker LOVED the pool at Aunt Juju's and Uncle Larry's.  They have this little waterfall with a ledge running behind it. Parker spent the majority of her time walking back and forth under it and then jumping off!

Next Juju, Neal, Parker, and I headed to Isle of Palms, South Carolina.  It's about a 3 hour drive from Augusta, so we were able to be there in no time!  We spent the entire long weekend eating and swimming.  A bunch of Neal's buddies and Juju's college BFF, Jennifer, joined in on the fun....we were up to 8  at times!  Parker loved every minute of the beach and the attention, to say that she was catered to would be a HUGE understatement!  Always remember to apply a good coat of sunscreen before going to the pool/beach :)!

 Parker LOVED the ocean!  We saw NONE of the scared child who hated everything about the beach last year!  She took off into the ocean with no trace of fear....the mama in me wishes that she had a little more "fear"!

 Parker is SO close to swimming!  I feel sure that by next summer we will be there....

 Uncle Neal was quite the sport and agreed to "supervise" Parker in the ocean.....I'm not sure he will volunteer for that job again!!

Week 2 in Athens

Our final week in Athens was more of the same....family and fun!  We were sad to leave but excited to continue our adventures to Augusta and Isle of Palms...and yes, I realize that this isn't a great picture, but trying to get the three of them to sit and smile was like herding cats!

I know it's hard to see...but Parker loved to ride the "horse"....

Tennessee July 2011

This week has been full of playing and visiting, much like last week :).  We spent time with Baby Derek, Juju, Lauren, and the rest of the gang.

On Thursday we met Lauren at a cupcake store here in Athens to celebrate Lauren's "presentation completion".  We enjoyed our cupcakes, however Parker didn't seem very interested!  

This past weekend mom, Marley, Parker and I went to Tennessee to visit family.  We had a very nice weekend visiting with everyone.  

Georgia Week 1

Parker and I arrived in Atlanta last Wednesday after the never ending LONG flight from Munich.  We were SO glad to see Ebby and Marley at the airport!  This week has been packed with visiting, shopping, and playing outside.  Parker has enjoyed every minute of the warm weather.    Pop and Ebby have a new dog, Otis, who Parker desperately wants to play with.  The only problem is that Otis is a puppy and therefore, does "puppy" things like biting and taking toys.....Parker does NOT like this.  So, we have spent the week alternating between protecting Parker and Otis from each other :).   We got to meet baby Derek for dinner on Wednesday night.  Parker loved him right away.....as she did with Mitch and pudding :)!

Next up, we headed to the lake to see Phil and Linda and to pick blueberries.  Parker loved the dogs at Phil and Linda's house, she chased them for about an hour!  We also picked green beans....

 Next, we tried to eat flowers....

 After the flower eating incident we went to the lake to pick blueberries.  Considering how hot it was and that the field was full of sticker bushes, Parker did exceptionally well!

Toward the end she grew horns got hot and tired and tried to take her clothes off.  I think that this was her solution to the heat!  That was our que that it was time to leave :).
